Preparing for the birth of your child is an investment unlike any other. Rather than viewing childbirth as the simple mechanics of moving your baby from the inside to the outside, we must acknowledge birth as one of the most significant developmental states of life – emotionally and socially. For all that we invest in preparing the space the baby will exist in, we can only benefit from the knowledge of how birth happens and the process of getting to that place.

Doula Services

Most hospitals in the Northern Virginia/D.C. area recognize doulas as birth professionals and are accepting doulas as part of the birth support team. I have had the privilege of serving dozens of families in-person, in hospitals, birth centers, and at home, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. If you have questions about your provider or hospital’s stance on doulas, please contact me.

If your hospital, birth center, or homebirth midwife are not accepting doulas as professional birth support, I offer virtual doula support via phone/text/email and video-chat applications. If you are interested in virtual doula support, please contact me directly for pricing and more information.

Birth Doula Service - $2400

Please see the Birth Doula Care tab for a thorough description of what my services include.

Along with our regularly scheduled prenatal visits, you are able to call, text, or email me at any time with questions or for support, or to keep me informed of updates with your provider. You will also have access to a password-protected client portal with handouts, articles, online resources, local resources and specialists, as well as book recommendations to keep you informed of current, evidence-based practices surrounding childbirth.

The birth doula service fee is payable by cash, check, and money transfer apps (Zelle/Paypal/Venmo). A 50% deposit is required at the time of contract signing. The remaining 50% is due at your 36th week.

For questions about my role as a doula during your pregnancy and birth, please see the FAQ page or email me.

I am currently accepting a limited number of new clients for 2023, with preference to repeat clients.
